Thursday's Poem (2)

Thursday, February 21, 2013

The idea of small beginnings has really been impressed upon me lately. So when I came across a poem by Julia A. Fletcher the other day that talked about this very thing, I was really excited! God is so gracious to teach and guide.

Without further ado, here is the sweet poem.
"Little drops of water, little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean and the pleasant land.
So the little minutes, humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages of eternity."
Author: Julia A. Fletcher

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”
Mark 4:30-32

  1. All great things have really started small. God will make it larger, is somewhere in the Psalms.

    I love that poem!

  2. I adored this poem. Isn't is so comforting to know that God uses small things and grows them? He truly does make it larger. It's so helpful to have these reminders each and every day. He is faithful to each one of his children.
