The world we
live in today needs hope. Hope for today and hope for a better tomorrow. Hope
that even in the midst of the storm we can count on a rainbow to shine through
very soon. Pete Wilson does a fabulous job of helping his readers understand
and realize this amazing hope in his new book Let Hope In. Wilson lays out 4 choices throughout the book that each of us can make every day to help continue to let hope in. He doesn’t sugarcoat the hard times, nor does he
minimize the pain we may go through, but he does present a unique and biblical
view of how we can choose to hope even in the toughest of situations.
My copy of is now dog eared throughout. I had many “aha” moments where Wilson
somehow was able to articulate and expound on some amazing biblical truths. He
is able to look at a passage of Scripture and really analyze the text in a new
but contextually accurate way. The nuggets of wisdom I gleaned from this book are
many. Wilson is an awesome teacher and knows how to illustrate what a life of hope actually looks like.
I give this
book four out of five stars because I had a hard time with Wilson’s various uses of personal examples in the book. While I do
find examples extremely helpful to illustrate a point it actually became
somewhat tedious and hard for me to follow his main point at times.
Overall
though I highly recommend this book to anyone who may need some encouragement
and hope in their life. Whether you’re struggling with the past, not sure of
the future or just need a new perspective of things, I would definitely grab a
copy of Pete Wilson’s book Let Hope In.
